FileVault Initiating Process

 

All Macs will be added to a FileVault policy (Apple Version of Bitlocker) to encrypt the drive of the Apple macs.

Once Intune has enabled/synced FileVault on the Apple Mac, the end user will require to restart their machine (this wont be prompted to do so, we suggest doing this after the first hour of receiving the Mac).

When they do they will be prompted with the below image before the restart commences:

 

Enter the users password and click OK. This will initiate and then when completed will prompt below, generating the recovery key:

 

 

Make a note of the recovery for your peace of mind and a backup copy will be stored in Intune.

Machine will proceed to restart.
